Survivoria — Wraith of Faith: Fragments of Speech at the Edge of the Void

Survivoria - Wraith of Faith

Wraith of Faith draws you into the close quarters of voice and electronics. A whisper reaches right up to your ear, bass lays down a heavy pulse, and short guitar strikes thicken the rhythm. Melody pushes through this confined space; then the sound gathers weight again. The music keeps shifting your position: close enough to catch a breath, surrounded by synthesizers, waiting for the next impact after a sudden cut.

The album runs to sixteen tracks, most of them instrumental. Its place in SURVIVORIA’s world is clearly defined: a companion release about the disintegration of consciousness and its merging with the Void. Phrases and images carry over from The Faith of Wraith. Familiar words offer points of recognition. The music’s movement lets you linger within each state, from insistent demand to loss of control.

A Voice Inside the Heavy Pulse

The fourth track, I’m Your Fix, initially draws you towards an intimate whisper over pulsing bass. There is a casualness in the delivery that makes the sexual commands sound disturbingly routine. A hard beat enters, its tread sharpened by dry metallic hits. Each new layer of synths and guitars makes the space denser. Repetition begins to take command of your attention, and each brief phrase registers as another demand.

Choppy guitar parts lock into the electronic rhythm. Vocal repetitions spread in echoes, with interference creeping into the gaps. A strained half-whisper builds to a distorted scream that sinks into the surrounding noise. You can feel the effort of a living voice in these transitions. The commands to open wide and spread your legs come from Chrome & Chitin; here they are compressed into an obsessive loop. The body serves someone else’s desire. The title promises the dose they need. The performance drives that promise into fury.

The next track, Beyond the Firewall of My Speech, gives the voice room to stretch out a phrase. The low, intimate delivery in the verses retains the breath and a sense of fatigue. In the chorus, the clean singing opens up, its sustained notes taut with effort. Heavy guitar accents and synthesizers surround the melody; a scream at the climax adds a painful edge. The familiar words of Starlight Scars pass through this whole succession of vocal states.

Before the final surge, the backing thins out. In the space that opens up, a question about the singer’s own existence demands attention; then the dense sound returns. Clean singing and screams overlap, digital interference breaking the flow of the phrases. As the protagonist loses track of events, the music pulls the listener off balance too. The Void outside reaches into speech.

Manifested: Melody Gathers Force

On the eleventh track, Manifested, a rapid arpeggio catches the ear. Sustained synth harmonies gradually open out above it. The build gives you time to settle into the melody, so the rhythm section’s heavy entrance arrives just as anticipation takes hold. Growling bass breaks up the space in short bursts; the melodic line threads through its jagged timbre. The music acquires a broad sweep, almost euphoria, with palpable weight in every hit.

In the middle passage, the drums drop away. Broad chords and the lead theme fill the space, notes trailing echoes. The rhythm returns with fresh abrasive details and digital stutters. You find yourself waiting for the next wave of bass. Towards the end, the layers gradually fall away, leaving the familiar arpeggio. This arc sustains its own tension, giving the album a sense of movement, scale and anticipation.

Familiar phrases also recur in the titles. Erasing Rational Procedure and Cognitive Decline Accelerates echo words from Synaptic Corruption; Merging Now recalls the dissolution of the self in Becoming Wraith. A memory of the earlier story runs through the music. It connects these individual states while preserving their distinct character.

Survivoria - Beyond the Firewall of My Speech

After the whisper of I’m Your Fix, the vocal strain of Beyond the Firewall of My Speech and the synthesizer sweep of Manifested, Wraith of Faith leaves several distinct impressions. Each follows its own dynamic course: pressure builds, the voice breaks, melody unfolds. The closing title, Is No Turning Back, seals the sense of a journey taken. By then, familiar scraps of speech are bound up with the physical memory of the beat.
